Differences are inevitable when people work passionate people work together. It’s the role of the manager to identify and look out for the solutions of problems faced by a team. As a leader it’s important to differentiate the types of conflicts if the underlying problem is to be identified.
A leader or a manager has to be aware of various types of conflicts.
Ø Conflicts over position
Ø Conflicts over strategy
Ø Conflicts over opinions
Ø Conflicts over mistrust
Ø Conflict over uneven communication
Ø Conflicts over personality clashes
Ø Conflicts over personal agenda
If the above types of conflicts are observed they state the motive behind the differences for a conflict to arise. A manager must be in a position to handle such situation in a balanced and appropriate manner.

Step 1: Arrange for meeting between the two parties
Step 2: Gather Information
Step 3: Agree to the problem
Step 4: Brainstorm for solutions
Step5: Negotiate a solution
